Commission a Woven Artwork
1 – Tell me about your idea
We’ll start with the size and format of your piece. I’ll then send you a short questionnaire about your space, colours, inspiration, and what you’d like the artwork to evoke. If you live in Ontario, I can also arrange an in-person visit.
2 – Proposal & Review
Based on your answers, I’ll send a personalized proposal, quote, and timeline. A 50% deposit secures your commission.
3 – Shape the design
I’ll create simple sketches for you to review and share photos of the fibres and materials I plan to use before I begin weaving. Once you approve the direction we move on to the next phase. Creating!
4 – Watch it take shape
Each piece is woven by hand. I’ll share a few progress photos along the way so you can see your artwork coming together.
5 – Welcome your piece home
When it’s complete, I’ll send final photos and arrange delivery. The remaining balance is due at that stage, and your artwork will come with a certificate of authenticity.
Timing
Commissions typically take 4–8 weeks, depending on size and complexity. If you’re working toward a particular date, let me know when you inquire and I’ll tell you what’s possible.
